Campers Encounter Real-Life 'Blair Witch'

Two women got more than they bargained for when they camped out in the woods near Bristol.

Lola Swan and Kate Channon had set up their tent and camping equipment in dense woodland on the outskirts of the city in the hope of enjoying a relaxing night under the stars, but as darkness fell things started to take a turn for the worse.

"During the night we heard the sounds of, what can be described as, people walking around," said Lola. "Twigs and branches were cracking and breaking, like footsteps on the forest ground."

The women became increasingly aware of the feeling of being watched but were unable to see signs of anyone else in the area. At one point Kate whistled out and was terrified to hear someone whistling back at her from the darkness. Some of their camping tools also seemed to have gone missing.

The two friends eventually made the decision to flee after hearing what sounded like a baby crying at around 1am. "After midnight it all got too scary and, in our panic and fear, packed up our tent and got the hell out of there," said Lola.

The experience didn't end there however, as the following morning while flicking through the photographs they had taken in the woods Lola discovered an image showing what appeared to be a strange glowing figure in the background.
"I immediately threw the phone to the ground," she said. "I knew we were being watched, and that picture proves it."

'Ghost' Crosses The Pitch During A Football Game!

Footage of a ghostly figure on the pitch during the German Cup final in Berlin has gone viral.

Sightings of apparitions during televised sporting events seem to be on the rise lately with April’s sighting of a strange shadow moving across the stands at a Bolivian football match making way for a similar sighting at this week’s cup final in Berlin.

The match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on Saturday has been somewhat overshadowed by the clip of a ghostly figure running across the pitch. The peculiar extra seems to appear out of nowhere on the left before moving towards the right.

Whether this mysterious shadow represents evidence of the paranormal however is a matter of interpretation, but with more than 7 million viewers logging on to YouTube to look at the footage over the last few days it’s difficult to deny that the anomaly has been drawing rather a lot of attention.

What Are The Most Haunted Pubs In Britain?

A look at some of the best drinking establishments to visit in the UK for a pint... or a good scare.

Britain is well known for its haunted pubs and inns, buildings that have seen hundreds of years of history including everything from accidents and murders to executions and hangings.
A staple of paranormal investigations and TV shows, the Skirrid Inn near Abergavenny in Wales has long been considered to be one of the most haunted places in the British Isles. Its first floor was once used as a courthouse which saw more than 180 felons convicted before being unceremoniously hung from an oak beam over the staircase. A coil of rope still hangs in the same spot to this day.

Another well known haunt is the Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, a building that has long served as a destination for travellers crossing Bodmin Moor. According to the stories of those who have stayed or worked there over the years the Inn is home to a ghostly gentleman who has been seen sitting outside while the voices of the deceased can be heard echoing through its corridors.

Other top haunted destinations include the Mermaid Inn in Sussex where the chambermaids are so terrified they will only clean the rooms while working in pairs, the Marsden Grotto in South Shields which is thought to be haunted by the ghost of a smuggler and The Spaniards Inn in London which is thought to be haunted by the ghost of infamous highwayman Dick Turpin.

3 People 'Possessed' When Using A Ouija Board!

Three people ended up being rushed to hospital after being allegedly possessed during a Ouija session.

All three had to be taken to hospital following their ordeal.

Alexandra Huerta, her brother Sergio and their cousin Fernando Cuevas had been playing around with a Ouija Board in the Mexican village of San Juan Tlacotenco when all three of them started to exhibit strange behavior.

Within minutes of beginning the session, Alexandra was said to have fallen in to a deep trance-like state before growling maniacally like a dog and thrashing around uncontrollably.

Sergio and Fernando soon began to experience strange symptoms of their own including vivid hallucinations, blindness and deafness. A local Catholic priest was called in to perform an exorcism but he allegedly refused to do so because none of them were regular churchgoers.

Paramedics who eventually attended the scene found themselves having to forcibly restrain Alexandra for her own safety before taking all three of them to hospital. A combination of painkillers and anti-stress medication was said to have been effective at treating their symptoms.

"The medical rescue of these three young people was very complicated," said public safety director Victor Demeza. "It appeared as if they were in a trance-like state, apparently after playing with the Ouija board. They spoke of feeling numbness, double vision, blindness, deafness, hallucinations, muscle spasm and difficulty swallowing."

Did You Know This House Is Haunted?

BOSSIER PARISH, La. -

One morning Sassy Williams and her Haughton family woke up to find every single kitchen cabinet open. The family also saw an old rocking chair begin to rock with nobody in it.
But then Williams says just about every room in their Bossier Parish home has had some sort of unexplained ghostly activity happen in it. She even has an eerie photograph of what looks like a ghost baby taken by her dog sitter one night. The sitter was so scared she has never come back to the historic Sligo Road home.
The history of the mid-19th century home may explain why there is so much ghostly activity. The Bossier Parish History Center has a replica of what the house looked like when it was built by a Dr. Abel Skannal back in 1832. The house is known as the Oakland Plantation.
Historian Pam Carlisle says the doctor was a very eccentric slave owner.
"When he was alive he kept a coffin in the attic. A lot of these stories are very bizarre," says Carlisle.
Legend has it the doctor slept in the coffin with a slave chained to him while he slept. It's also written online that Dr. Skannal murdered his wife and kept her body in the attic of the house and she wasn't discovered until after he died.
The Skannals also lost several children while they were very young. Maybe that explains the child-ike gliket in that picture taken by the dog sitter. If the doctor was a jokester when he was alive, the Williams family thinks he might be the one messing with them today.
"When we first moved in our son would come downstairs and I would say 'What’s wrong? Why can't you sleep?' and he said he could see ‘people running across my room,’" says Sassy Williams.
Her son’s room has been the scene of many more unexplained occurrences. The family that lived in the house before, the McCallon family, said their two young girls were sleeping in that room when their blankets were ripped off of them and when they looked up the covers were thrown in the corner.

The house is located on Sligo Road in Haughton and marked by a Louisiana Historical marker. It reads "This house was built in stages between 1832 and 1848, and by 1850 was owned by Doctor Abel Skannal. From this house the family controlled five plantations totaling over 8,000 acres. Rumors about ghosts are sustained by the fact that Doc Skannal kept a coffin in the attic of the house. The family cemetery is located nearby in the woods."
