Sarah Harmon was just your average, everyday paranormal investigator until the fateful day an evil spirit used its spooky ghost magic to turn her into a fledgling Internet phenomenon. Forced to endlessly market her new personal-brand identity, she has vowed to use her newfound powers to change the world of Parapsychology and "fight the misdiagnosis of paranormal activity and mental illness." She is the one they call ... Paranormal Sarah.

A self-described jack of all trades, Paranormal Sarah does it all, from college lectures to paranormal conferences to live webisodes to local readings to live chats, on top of being a mother, a student, a blue-collar worker, a musician, and a Virgo. Paranormal Sarah has been hearing and seeing ghosts since practically forever, according to this five-minute video. Her bio narrows it down a bit, explaining that she started down her path by brazenly disobeying her grandma:

Being told by my wise grandmother to simply, "stay clear of the afterlife Sarah, for you are a Gatekeeper..." intrigued my curiosity.

Wow, what a mysterious and marketable origin story! Paranormal Sarah is like a real-life RPG character on a quest to fulfill her destiny. I'm surprised her grandmother didn't give her a sword and shield right then and there.

From the looks of things, being a paranormal investigator is cool as hell. You get to wear sexy black outfits and look at bibles with flashlights. It's kind of like being a termite inspector, except instead of checking for termites you go around asking "Are there any ghosts in here" and if there are they have to say "yes" (same deal with undercover cops).

Pretending to be a Ghostbuster doesn't pay all the bills or monetize her brand, so Paranormal Sarah has set up a web store where she offers a few services, including therapy sessions and psychic readings that can somehow be done via email. Hey, if Ghostwriter can travel across the internet, so can psychic waves.

Although she has "modeled for over 20 years from MAXIM to Miss America," Paranormal Sarah isn't just a pretty face. She's hard at work in the research lab, working on various projects the scientific community refuses to acknowledge. Currently she's having some trouble getting funding for something called "The God Helmet," which sounds very real and not at all like a comic-book prop.

She's also working on "The Sarah LeMorte Series," an all-ages book series that will teach readers about parapsychology, which should prove very educational and brand-extending in all the major key demographics.

Paranormal Corner: Mysterious spinning statuette!

So have you heard about the 4,000-year-old, Egyptian statuette of Neb-Senu moving 180-degrees all by itself?

It’s happening at the Manchester Museum in England where it has been housed since 1933.

That’s 80 years of sitting on the same glass shelf, in the same spot and never moving on its own until a couple months ago.

When I first heard about it, without knowing any of the above details, I immediately thought it was caused by some sort of vibration.

But then I found out that it has been in the same spot for 80 years and has never moved on its own previously.

And when it does move, it spins perfectly around in one spot — on a dime, so to speak — to face the back of its display case.

Not to mention, it turns 180 degrees to face the rear and then stops spinning.

Why?

I’m a debunker. It’s what we paranormal investigators do.

However, this is a very strange occurrence.

Museum curator Campbell Price was the first to see the statuette facing the wrong way. He found it odd, since he holds the only key to the case where Neb-Senu is kept.

After seeing what had happened, he unlocked the display, turned the object back around to its original position and locked it up again.

The next two mornings he came in to see the statuette again facing the wrong way.

Campbell was befuddled, so he set up a time-lapse camera to record the movement and captured the spinning statuette in action.

As soon as word of the phenomenon got out, people everywhere started trying to determine why the figure spins.

The 10-inch tall statuette is made of Steatite — also known as soapstone, which is soft — and then fired. (details to take into consideration when trying to debunk this as paranormal)

A couple of scientists have given their opinions on why the object is moving.

One explanation is differential friction. This occurs when two surfaces cause a subtle vibration which could make the statue turn.

The other is vibrational stick-slip friction or stick-slip vibration, which means if the glass where the statue rests vibrates even slightly, the vibrating glass moves the statue in the same direction, causing it to turn around.

Other possible explanations are that vibrations from daily foot traffic by visitors in the museum or tremors from a passing trolley could cause it to move.

But again, this statuette has been sitting in the same place, on the same surface, near the same foot traffic and trolley, for 80 years.

Some say Neb-Senu is simply turning around to show off the inscription on its back.

The inscription asks for sacrificial offerings of “bread, beer, oxen and fowl.”

According to the history books, Neb-Senu was originally an offering to the god Osiris.

Ancient Egyptian lore says if a mummy is destroyed, a statuette can act as an alternate vessel for the spirit of the person or god who is deceased.

So why is this statuette spinning?

It’s hard to say.

In my opinion, it probably does have something to do with a vibration of some sort, even though it doesn’t make sense that it just started happening after 80 years.

But wouldn’t it be cooler if it was Osiris’ spirit inhabiting the ancient figure, showing the world that he is back and living at the Manchester Museum?

The Illusion That Seduces and Bewitches Magicians

Thankfully, there is a way out of this addiction if you are one of those who has become snagged in their cunning web of witchcraft and sorcery. Do you want to get free from this "puppet life" and magical obsession? Here is something any witch or magician should seriously consider. Try saying these words sincerely from your heart, if you dare:

"In the name of Jesus, I renounce any act of darkness over my life. I pray that the blood of Jesus will cover my soul and my sins. I renounce any spells over me and I cast them away in Jesus' name. I call upon Christ and Him alone to save my soul and set me free from any addiction to magic. Free me Lord, in my mind, and in my body. Break the stronghold in my life Lord Jesus. Make me new through the blood of the Lamb. And burn away through the blood of Jesus any evil spirits that are around my life. I believe you died and rose again from the grave Lord Jesus. Forgive me for loving magic rather than worshipping you, my Creator and Redeemer. I renounce levitation, as well as any pursuit of magical power, and I look forward to ascending to heaven one day by your power Almighty God. I now know that I have no power in and of myself. You Lord Jesus are now my Defender and my Savior. You are my power. Set me free to love you rather than loving magic and spiritual darkness. Fill my soul with the power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive all my sins and wash them away as far as the east is from the west. I need You Lord, today and forever. Thank you for loving me, and for dying on the cross and rising again for my eternal salvation. In Jesus' name. Amen."

It will take the grace of God and courage from the Holy Spirit for you to pray those words sincerely, but I challenge you to do so if you believe that Jesus is the Victor, and Satan is the loser. In fact, pray it everyday for a week. See how God's power works for a change.

And then begin to read the Bible rather than books about magic. God's Word will fill your soul with things you could never receive from the dark side. You will experience contentment like never before if you use the discipline you have used in the past, but now, you apply it to prayer, Scripture reading, and sharing the love of Jesus and His words with others. These godly power encounters are on a much higher level than magic. Only a disciplined mind can walk on this narrow path, but boy is it ever worth it. Do you think you can be disciplined enough through God's grace to handle this new challenge in your life? It will be like nothing you have ever encountered I assure you.

God doesn't need magic. And besides, it is below Him. He is God. He can do anything, anytime, anywhere. It's time for you to get excited about that fact, rather than wasting your life on the empty pursuit of magical spells, rituals, and occultic observances. That dangerous power seduction will never give you the ability to ascend to heaven one day, but only the eventual burden to descend into hell.

Jesus is life. Jesus is freedom. Jesus is power. And all who belong to Christ will ascend to heaven with Him. Check out what God says on this matter: "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." (1 Thess. 4:16-18)

This is why, my friend, levitation is so lame when compared to what God can do for you. Would you like to ascend with Christ one day, or are you too addicted to what those deceptive spirits are doing to make you feel like a successful sorcerer? It's a con game. Don't get conned by sinister spirits. Instead, get saved through faith in the blood of Jesus. And then start telling others about His power. Also, you will want to be sure to get actively involved in a Christian church where the Bible is taught in a spirit of love and grace. How else do you think the spiritual power is going to remain at a high level in your soul and in your new life of discipleship?

It turns out much better when you trust in Jesus than when you live life obsessed with magic. So don't fall for the illusion. Don't be seduced by the power, even though the power is very real and alluring. If those evil spirits could levitate your soul to heaven for eternity, they would be worshipping the Creator rather than tempting people to dabble with the counterfeit practices of the occult.

So would you rather float next to a big bus for a few minutes, or live in paradise forever? Both of them require supernatural power. But only one of them will bring perfect contentment to your soul and rapturous joy to your entire being throughout eternity. Hmm. Let's see. That's a tough one. Temporary bus floater, or eternal resident of heaven? Is this a trick question?

I had never heard of the magician, Dynamo, until I read about how he floated alongside a double-decker bus in London recently. I watched the video. Personally, I think it was legit. I believe this was a paranormal event and an authentic example of levitation. But it's not like this sort of thing is completely unheard of today.

Whether the levitation is experienced by young girls playing a dangerous occult "game" at a slumber party, ("Light as a feather, Stiff as a board") or by street magicians as shown on YouTube videos, paranormal things happen when people engage in practices that are rooted in sorcery, magic and witchcraft. Many magicians and other occultists have experienced levitation and various forms of supernatural power. These sorcerers typically cast spells or perform other rituals in an attempt to conjure the power to accomplish these feats. It is becoming more and more commonplace to see such expressions of magical performance.

What most of these magicians do not realize, however, is that the power to do such things only appears to be under their control. These magical performers are actually being duped by beings with superior intelligence to their own. Just as some magicians engage in illusion, so do the spirits which seduce magicians to go deeper and deeper into their craft. It is incredibly enticing, especially when the performers start to get high on the attention it brings them. While the spellbinding feats such as levitation are very often real, these "abilities" are not under the ultimate control and power of the magician.

All the control over these supernatural occurrences belongs to the spirits which orchestrate this "power seduction." These evil spirits seek to have total dominion over their host, and so they willfully perform supernatural acts when their host jumps through certain hoops and says certain "magical" words. It is all a con, and the victims are the hosts (magicians) and those who choose to follow the example of the sorcerers and take up the craft themselves in the seductive pursuit of power.

Does this mean that everyone who is exposed to Harry Potter is going to come under the power of the devil? Of course not. But it does mean that the real spirits which are opposed to God will meet you right where you are at if you are willing to engage them for a little "power encounter" in the name of "magic." They will move a physical object for you, or give you some revelation of knowledge that you could not otherwise have known. They will draw you in one step at a time, and all the while you mistakenly assume that you and your "unique and special abilities" are responsible for these paranormal results. Yeah right. Nothing could be further from the truth. But that is certainly the illusion which is cast by the evil spirits in order to snag unsuspecting recruits who long to be powerful wizards. At that point, the trap has been successfully laid and the bait is wickedly enticing to those with visions of grandeur. After all, these new recruits are beginning to perceive themselves as having "a special calling to the craft."

There is actually an infamous angelic being who was the first one to have visions of grandeur which were terribly misplaced. It didn't turn out too well for him. (See what Jesus said about him in Luke 10:18) And it's only going to get far worse. (See Revelation 20:10 for a glimpse behind the curtain.) His minions know quite well how to entice wannabe bigwigs with that particular desire because their master fell from heaven as a result of the same ungodly passion. These fallen angels are experts at spotting that weakness in someone, and they jump on it with a vengeance once they get a whiff of your susceptibility in that area, and your "usability" in their larger scheme. You are now the puppet they begin training to entice other unsuspecting souls into the realm of the occult, whether that is your personal agenda or not. It doesn't matter. That is what they will use you for if you fall for the illusion and become seduced by the perceived payoff at the end of the rainbow.

Woman haunted by Neighbour's ghost!

SHE asked a neighbour to look after her house for a while, but he was shot dead elsewhere.

So Thulisile Ntuli (60) moved back into her house at Lamontville... And the neighbour's "ghost" came back to haunt her!

Thulisile now fears she will die in the house because her kids have run away. And lately her legs have been swelling and plants in the garden keep dying.

"There's no peace here. The dead neighbour's ghost comes here every night and sits on the sofa. He looks at us without saying a word. My kids have deserted me because of this. I asked the neighbour's family to come and fetch his spirit but they refused because he didn't die in my house.

"The ghost has even killed my business. I had a container where I sold fast foods but it has all vanished. I got a taxi to transport schoolkids but it broke down every day and now it is parked outside. It's a skorokoro. I also have not had a relationship for some time now," Thulisile said.

Thulisile has had to give up her job as an admin clerk at Prince Mshiyeni Hospital after her legs began to swell. She said sangomas told her nothing would ever go her way because the ghost had been used by witchdoctors to cause problems for her.

"I need someone to help me. I'll pay if I'm healed. I've spent more than R20 000 paying sangomas but I never got a solution," she said.A private doctor who asked not to be named said: "By looking at the pictures, Thulisile may have elephantiasis. It can be cured by means of operating and draining the liquid in her legs."

Thandonjani Hlongwane, chairman of traditional healers in KZN, said Thulisile needs a strong sangoma who will talk to the ghost and ask it what it wants.daily sun

Haunted by headless spectres!

Headless ghosts have a firm role in the folklore of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Years ago, while I was doing folklore fieldwork in Hebron, Labrador, I was told a story by an Inuit man about a “man without a face” said to haunt that now-abandoned community.

And for more than a decade and a half, I have been telling the story of a famous Newfoundland headless ghost on Queen’s Road, as part of the St. John’s Haunted Hike.

In 1999, the Fogo Island Literacy Association published a small book called “TaIes of Fogo Island,” compiled and edited by Della Coish.

The publication was designed as an easy-to-read book about local life and culture, for use with adult learners in literacy programs.

The book contains short stories about losses and rescues at sea, historical tales, tragedies, remedies and cures, and a few ghost stories, including two Fogo Island stories about headless ghosts.



Man in black

The first headless phantom was spotted by a man named Lynch, of Island Harbour. Lynch was on his way from Payne’s Harbour to Butt’s Point when he met a man, dressed in a black suit of clothes, on the road. When Lynch spoke to the stranger, he got no reply.

“This made him curious,” writes Coish, “so he tried to get a better look. Mr. Lynch almost jumped out of his skin when he realized that the figure in front of him did not have hands and did not have a head.”

Before Lynch could shout out for help, the man in black vanished. He ran to his house and told his family. Once he convinced them of what he had seen, the family decided to call in the priest.

“As it happened, the priest was in Island Harbour that evening and arrived at the Lynch home in minutes,” says Coish. “He asked Mr. Lynch to tell his story and describe where it had happened. Then, the priest convinced a few people to go with him to the place where Mr. Lynch had seen the figure.”

Upon reaching the spot of the haunting, the priest offered up a few prayers, and then all returned home. According to local folklore, the priest refused to ever speak of the event again.



Mysterious apparition

The story of Lynch’s vanishing headless spirit is mirrored by another tale from a neighbouring community.

On a different occasion, a woman from Fogo was walking home when she became aware of a man walking in front of her. Thinking it was her brother, Val, she called out to him.

“The man stopped for a moment, but then began to walk faster,” says Coish. “The lady picked up her pace to catch him, but the man also sped up. She soon became annoyed and shouted, ‘Don’t run away from me Val, I knows who you is! Stop right now and wait fer me!’”

“Val” refused to stop, even though she called out several times. She hurried to catch up, and as she did, she noticed that the figure she had believed to be her brother was missing his head.

She caught up with the headless figure and, bravely, reached out to touch him. As soon as she did, the apparition vanished. Now properly frightened, she ran the rest of the way home.

“The following day, the family received the sad news that a close relative had been killed at war,” says Coish. “From that day onward, the lady was certain she had seen the spirit of the dead soldier. She believed the spirit was trying to tell her that something terrible had happened to him.”
